Finance Manager (Istanbul)

QUALIFICATIONS

With a background in both accountancy practice and a commercial environment, the FM would have sound auditing skills and process driven thinking from their training and work in accountancy practice, but also commercial acumen from working in industry.

Reporting to the Managing Director and a key member of the Management Team, the Finance Manager has control for all financial aspects of the company to ensure the effective and smooth running of the finance operation and contribute to the overall development of the business and its processes. He/she has to be a real business support to the Managing Director.

Leading a small team through busy periods including month end, year-end and annual budgeting, the Finance Manager would have excellent communication skills with all levels of staff, including our French headquartered central Finance function.

Typical qualities of Finance Manager:
A fully qualified Accountant: possess good accounting experience, some tax knowledge desirable
Excellent eye for detail, diligent knowledge of accounting regulations
Ability to report to senior managers
Capabilities to supervise, manage and lead staff
Excellent commercial flair and industry experience
Interest to Business with a mind set for process improvement.
Languages: Turkish and English

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key responsibilities:
Production of monthly management accounts and associated reports
Preparation of annual budgets
Cash flow forecasting and cash management
Variance reporting and investigation
Management of Payroll (outsourced)
Production of statutory accounts and liaison with auditors’
On-going development of financial controls, policies and procedures
Reporting financial information to group
Management and development of the accounts team
Providing and interpreting financial information
Formulating long-term business plans
Researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance
Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations such as the Inland Revenue
Ensuring that all transactional, payroll and VAT/taxation requirements are met
Keep on top of changes in regulation and legislation and new industry developments
