Walmart Brazil announced an investment to revamp and integrate its physical stores with online marketplaces.
Walmart Brazil announced that it will invest $464 million over the next four years in efforts to revamp its stores and stay relevant in an increasingly online-led market. In a statement last week, the company said it will be integrating its physical stores with their e-commerce operations.
The group also made the decision to expand its digital offerings into an online marketplace, similar to Amazon, in which buyers can purchase goods online from third-party retailers. The retailer is also vowing to introduce more regional and in-house brands as it renovates its brick-and-mortar spaces in Brazil.
